Making a Difference

In honor of National Volunteer Week, we at San Diego Habitat for Humanity would like to take a moment to thank a few of the countless volunteers who make our mission a reality. Through our volunteers’ acts of kindness, we can stretch a helping hand to families in need and give back to our community. Thank you for being such exemplary volunteers!

Volunteers open doors of opportunity, pave avenues of success, fortify their communities, and lay the foundation for tomorrow’s growth and prosperity.

Bronco is a regular volunteer at the Mission Valley ReStore. He comes in on a weekly basis to organize the store and help our driver with donation pick-up. We are very thankful for his continued support of the Habitat for Humanity ReStore. Thank you for your time and hard work!

“I love coming down to the ReStore because everyone is very nice and I am retired so it gives me something to do. I just love seeing everyone here!”

Carolyn volunteers regularly at the Mission Valley ReStore. Carolyn helps us every Wednesday and Friday by sorting, organizing, and pricing the donations. Thank you for being an integral part of the ReStore team! We truly appreciate your dedication.

“I volunteer because I can. I believe in the Habitat for Humanity cause and volunteering at the ReStore fits into my schedule. I drive my kids to school in the morning and in the afternoon, so volunteering at the ReStore fits perfectly.”

Anne has been volunteering with us since last September and has given more than 100 hours of her time to the Mission Valley ReStore. Coming in every Tuesday and Friday, Anne helps our staff with moving donations, organizing the store, and working the register. Thank you for being such a reliable volunteer!

” I started volunteering with Habitat for Humanity because I wanted to give back to the community. I found that the people here are just wonderful and that’s what keeps me coming back!”
